Vltava (the Moldau)

In this lesson series, we discover Smetana's symphonic poem 'Vltava' (also known as 'the Moldau'). The musical story begins with two springs joining in the river. Other stops follow including a hunting scene, a peasant wedding, and the river Vltava flowing through the royal city of Prague. Students will discover the music and instruments, various scenes and old legends. They will also learn about life of Bedřich Smetana. With the Fortissimo app, they will embark on an unforgettable musical journey along the river.
