Our lesson series
Each lesson series contains a range of audio and video ressources, a corresponding level in the Fortissimo app, as well as downloadable digital and print materials to use in the classroom. Some series also include creative craft projects, such as flipbooks, lapbooks or Z-folds. These can be designed and decorated by students during the course of the lesson series.

In this lesson series, we will explore the story of Clara who saved her Nutcracker from the Mouse King on Christmas Eve and met guests from around the world in the the Kingdom of the Sugar Plum Fiary. Students will learn a hand choreography, have a go at body percussion and follow a musicogram. They will embody the different characters from 'The Nutcracker' story and play an improvisation game. With the help of Madame Harp, children will deepen their knowledge of 'The Nutcracker' in the Fortissimo app.

In this lesson series, we discover Smetana's symphonic poem 'Vltava' (also known as 'the Moldau'). The musical story begins with two streams joining together to form the river Vltava. There are many stops along the river: a hunting scene, a peasant wedding, and the royal city of Prague. Students will discover music and instruments, various scenes and old legends. They will also learn about life of Bedřich Smetana. With the Fortissimo app, they will embark on an unforgettable musical journey along the river.
