Musik, Serious Gaming und Konzentrationsfähigkeit – mit der App entdecken die Kinder die Magie der klassischen Musik mit interaktiven Spielen.
Activity 1
M1: Modes of transport (jogger, car and high speed train)
Recap the link between these pictures and the slow, medium and fast tempos. Make sure you also number the pictures - 1 for jogger, 2 for car and 3 for high speed train.
Teacher:
"We are going to listen to 'La Follia' by Arcangelo Corelli again today. As you listen, close your eyes. Each time you hear a new tempo, use your fingers to indicate the number you think corresponds to the speed: 1 for slow, 2 for medium and 3 for fast."
A2: The different tempos in 'La Follia'
Solution
Slow - Medium - Fast - Slow - Fast - Medium
Activity 2
Teacher:
"Together, we are now going to swing a piece of fabric to the music. Imagine it represents the sea. When the tempo is slow, the sea is very calm. As the tempo goes faster, the waves become bigger and the sea more agitated."
A2: The different tempos in 'La Follia' (play)
Activity 3
M3: Z-fold cover sheet, a sheet of thick paper or card, size A3 cut in half lengthways (one of each pupil)
Draw two fold edges on each halved cardboard (at 14 cm and 28 cm). Here is a short video to help.
Teacher:
"Let’s watch a short video together. It will show you how to get started with your own Z-fold."
Teacher:
"Here, you can see what a finished Z-fold looks like."
Teacher:
"You can now glue the cover sheet (M3) at the front of your Z-fold, and stick the tempo markings worksheet (M2) in the correct place. You can then take time to decorate your cover sheet"
A3: 'La Follia' (play while colouring)
Optional
As an alternative to the Z-fold, children can stick the worksheets in their music book if they have one.
If there's still time...
… repeat the mirror dance from lesson 1 (activity 1).
Skills learned in this lesson:
Students…
… improvise their own movements inspired by Achangelo Correlli’s 'La Follia'.
… move to music in tempo.
… recognise different tempos and distinguish them from each other while listening to La Follia.
