Musik, Serious Gaming und Konzentrationsfähigkeit – mit der App entdecken die Kinder die Magie der klassischen Musik mit interaktiven Spielen.
Activity 1
The teacher provides the children with the link to the web version of the app. Children play the games of the 'Grandpa Stradivarius' level independently. If some children complete the level quicker than others, they can always repeat the games of their choice.
Teacher:
"There are lots of different games in the Fortissimo app: you can for instance match sounds to pictures, do puzzles or play memory games."
Tip
If there aren’t enough tablets, iPads or computers, you can divide the class into two groups. Another option is for two or three children to work together on one device. If computers are close to each other, we would recommend using headphones.
Activity 2
After all pupils complete the 'Grandpa Stradivarius' level of the Fortissimo app, ask: "What instruments belong to the string family and how do you play them? How does the violin sound to you? Which games did you particularly like?."
If there's still time...
… children can play games in the ‘Grandpa Stradivarius’ level of the Fortissimo app again.
Skills learned in this lesson:
Students:
… extend their knowledge of string instruments by playing the ‘Grandpa Stradivarius’ level on the Fortissimo app.
… learn two ways of playing the violin: with a bow and with the fingers (pizzicato).
… tap rhythmically following music.
… Associate emotions to movements from 'La Follia'.
… learn about the structure and the sound of the violin.
… recognise the differences between the string instruments (violin, viola, cello and double bass) and their place in the orchestra.
… follow an aspiration meditation.
