Musik, Serious Gaming und Konzentrationsfähigkeit – mit der App entdecken die Kinder die Magie der klassischen Musik mit interaktiven Spielen.
Activity 1
M1: Handel newspaper front page (hand out one sheet per pair - optional: print out as A3)
M2: Newspaper articles (hand out to each pair)
Teacher:
“In every era of history, there were stars, famous people. Can you think of such people? During what is called the Baroque period, composer George Frideric Handel was a real superstar and we are going to learn more about his life, when he lived and why he became so famous.
As a pair, you will take on the work of journalists and create a newspaper front page about Handel. If you look at your worksheet (M2), you will find exciting articles and pictures which you can cut out and stick onto your front page. You will have to think of a title for your newspaper front page and come up with exciting headlines which will make your readers curious about the stories.”
A1: 'Water Music' (play as background music)
Activity 2
Teacher:
"When you have finished designing your newspaper front page, think of quiz questions which could be answered by reading it. Write the questions at the front and the answers at the back of your page."
Teacher:
"Once you have written down at least three quiz questions on your newspaper front page, go and display it in the classroom. You can then walk around and look at newspaper front pages other groups have created. Try to answer the quiz questions together. Then, check if your answers are correct at the back."
If there's still time...
... discuss which newspaper front pages are particularly good with the class.
... ask children what they find particularly interesting or surprising about Handel's life.
