Musik, Serious Gaming und Konzentrationsfähigkeit – mit der App entdecken die Kinder die Magie der klassischen Musik mit interaktiven Spielen.
Activity 1
The teacher provides the students with access to the Virtual Music House via VR headsets, tablets or PCs.
Tip
If there are not enough VR headsets, tablets, or PCs available, two or three students can work together on one device. In a computer room, headphones are highly recommended, as the devices are usually very close to each other.
Task:
Select the Sonorium room and play the sound games. There are three different ways of working with sounds in the Sonorium. Do at least three rounds in each category.
You have 15 minutes for the sound expedition. If some of you finish early, you are free to explore other rooms in the Fortissimo Music House.
Scan the QR code to access the Fortissimo Virtual Reality experience and select the SONORIUM.
Activity 2
Task:
Tell each other about your experience of the Fortissimo Music House.
What did you find easy, what was difficult? Why might that be?
What does this exercise have to do with the orchestra? How is music created in an orchestra? Are the instruments on the stage all mixed up? When you sit in the audience and listen to a concert, what exactly do you hear (e.g. melodies from different instruments, etc.)? How can you relate that to this exercise?
Linking Sonorium and Orchestra
Listening to classical music can be quite challenging. In an orchestra, the instruments are arranged in groups on the stage. In a symphonic piece, sometimes different groups of instruments or a solo instrument will take on the main theme while the other instruments also play. Together, all the instruments create the full orchestral sound. Listening to individual musical elements in a focused way - such as in the Sonorium - helps you learn to hear important melodies or themes in the complex structure of a piece of music.
If there's still time...
… students can explore other rooms in the Fortissimo Music House.
