Activity 1

Then, discuss the different steps involved in producing an advertising clip with the class.
Producing a promotion video: a step by step guide
Planning
1. Determine the aim of the advertising clip: what are you trying to achieve with the video? Do you want to advertise an event, or introduce a new product?
2. Define the target group: who is audience you are trying to target with the advertising clip? Which platform(s) should you use to share the video and reach your target group?
3. Identify unique selling points: what is special about your product or service? What can you offer that does not exist yet?
4. Create a storyboard: think of a script and decide in which order different scenes will appear in your video clip.
Production
5. Filming: record the scenes on camera following your storyboard.
6. Voice-over: prepare and record the spoken texts that will accompany your promotional video.
Post-production
7. Edit the individual scenes so they all fit together, then add the voice-over texts and music.
Activity 2
Students will have to use a short excerpt from Beethoven's 5th Symphony as musical background for their advertising clips. Listen to the piece of music together with the class.
Task:
Describe what comes to mind when you listen to this piece of music.
Activity 3
The class is divided into groups of 3 or 4 students. Each group needs at least one tablet.
Task:
