Preparation

Print materials (for the entire series):

Option 1

If students need more time, another hour can be scheduled for filming and editing the video clip. They can then present their creation in the next lesson.

Option 2

If some groups still need time and others have already finished their advertising clips, there is an option to create another video with the following piece of music as musical background. Students can either use another of the three products given in the first lesson or come up with a new one themselves.

Task:

Each group presents their own advertising clip to three other groups. After the presentation, the audience gives brief feedback.

Activity 2

Talk about music

15 min.

Task:

After watching promotional videos that other groups have set to the music from Beethoven's 5th Symphony, the class watches real advertising clips that have also use this music as background.

How did these commercials use music?

What are the similarities and differences compared to the advertising clips you created?

If there's still time...

... Individual groups can try to improve their advertising clips, taking the feedback they received into account.
