M1: Panel discussion (hand out one sheet per group)

Task:

Complete the research for the panel discussion. Choose one person to represent your group in the panel discussion. Practice the argumentation together. Other people in the group can add to it.

Roles:

  3. Music and English Teacher
  4. Young person
  5. Media representative
  6. Music producer

Activity 2

Talk about music

Arrange 7 chairs in a semicircle, facing the class.

Task:

One representative from each of the six groups comes forward. The teacher or one of the students takes on the role of moderator, leading the panel discussion. Everyone else listens and observes. At the end of the discussion, more arguments, questions or statements can be taken from the 'audience'.

If there's still time...

... the panel discussion can be repeated with different representatives from each group.
