Short stories
Two streams:
From the springs come two streams, one warm and lively, the other cool and serious. They both rise in the shadow of the Bohemian Forest. They splash happily on the rocks and glitter in the sun.
River Vltava:
The waves of the two forest streams unite and together they form the river Vltava. As it wanders through Bohemia, the river increases in size.
Forest hunt:
As the river Vltava runs through the dark pine forest, the wind mysteriously rushes and the lively hustle and bustle of a hunt echoes. It flows all the way through the lush meadows and fertile plains.
Peasant Wedding:
On the river bank, rural people celebrate a village wedding with cheerful tunes and local dances.
Nymphs:
The night descends on the earth, the wedding celebrations end, and a mysterious silence falls over the land. In the pale moonlight, nymphs and mermaids now enliven the river banks.
Rapids:
Constricted by rocks, the foaming waters rush through the valley with a thunderous roar, forming treacherous eddies. After the rapids, the Vltava flows in majestic calm...
Prague:
Towards Prague.[…] The eternal stream rushes past in a mighty width - until it disappears into the unforeseeable distance.

Teacher:
"First let me show you a video which will demonstrate how to fold your lapbook.”
Teacher:
"Now you've folded you lapbook, I'll show you pictures of a finished one."
Teacher:
“Here, you can see where to stick the picture you drew (M1) and your map of the river Vltava (M3). You can now glue the cover sheet (M4) at the front of the lapbook and decorate it.”

... children can play a television improvisation game.
Instructions
Six children stand at the front of the class. Each one of them represent one stop on the river Vltava (2 streams, forest hunt, nymphs, peasant wedding, rapids and Prague). The teacher (or another child) 'zaps' through the TV programme and 'activates' one child at a time. The child who has been 'zapped' introduces their section of music as if they were a TV presenter. And before they finish, the teacher 'zaps' again to the next child. The first child immediately stops speaking and 'freezes' while the next child starts prensenting their stop. Children can take turn in any order. If they forget what their stop was about or can't think of anything, imagination is allowed and required! After the first round, six other children can become TV presenters.
